Took the back cover off the HG Neo, and I noticed a few interesting things. First, on the board, next to a port with unknown use... it says "I KNOW KUNG FU" I'm guessing this is an inside joke, as the character Neo said that in "The Matrix"? Second is the use of the port itself. At first I thought it must be a programming port, used as part of assembly to "program" the effect into the chipset. I know some pedals are user re-programmable, re-configurable a better term perhaps. EHX doesn't make any user program claims for this pedal, so I'm wondering. Seems too elaborate for use in manufacturing, where simple pads on the board would be more likely used, rather than a header. Then I thought, maybe this board is used as part of another pedal. That is, maybe the board itself, is the same "reverb engine" used in, say, the Holy Grail Max, and the header on the board is to allow it to connect with additional circuitry that comprises the other pedal. Dunno. Just thought it was interesting.
