    Hi from France !

Here is mine, according to the "latesixtieslespaul" website, she s from may 1968, concerted with 60s humbuckers years ago.... I also have a 69 gold top with factory p90, 1 piece neck, 1 piece body and large headstock, probably one of the first made in 69, great too.

Amazing guitars ! Good luck for your research !

Ps : This is my first post, I hope I did it right and... my apologies for my bad english :)

Latesixtieslespauls.com is an excellent way to learn more about these 68’s. My GT is a very early 69 with 68 pots. The number is 54076x. It’s all original and beat up from tons of play. I’ll post some close ups later. It is a long tenon neck.

Here's mine - its a 68. Serial number is barely visible but reads 506365. You can see from the images that it's been well played and the lacquer is cracking - which adds a lot of charm! Does anyone have a rough idea what a '68 goes for these days? Not thinking of selling - just wondered. Goldtop1.jpg Goldtop3.jpg Goldtop4.jpg

Beautiful guitar jor1958. I'm no expert, but one way to see what they're selling for is the Reverb.com price guide.

I don’t trust the reverb figures there’s only 1 for sale in the world which seems overpriced at $29k

The minimum is around 10,000. to 14,000. Then there is the guys fishing for 25,000. Bonamassa sold his 68 GT in a trade about 5 years ago for a 335 IIRC and the LA shop then listed (and sold) for 14,000. I do think they will go up more but who knows!

Here is an early ´68 (shippede july ´68) with the rare crown headstock.
It had been converted to humbuckers, so I got it at a reasonable price.
It was a really great guitar. A little heavy, but with a super comfortable neck !
It is pictured next to my Bigsbied ´52 (both now sold unfortunately)

Ok I’m baffled. Why do you say “that is insane” and why would you say “you are stupid”? I say to each his own but I honestly don’t know where you’re coming from.
If you’d like to see some amazing LP GT sound and playing then look up the late great Sean Costello on Youtube: Then you might catch on.

Probably speaking from a salesperson/investor POV?

(He used to own a guitar store).

I tried to give him a chance to explain his expertise but nothing forthwith.
