Nice gitty’s. I play a ‘68-early ‘69 out of a 280 Magnatone. Love it! You’re on the right track to get one. Kinda satisfied the tone I had been looking for for a long time. Good luck.

A 1978 Les Paul Std Gold Top, easily one of the worst playing Les Paul Standards I have ever owned (out of a good 30+ in 50 years). I picked it up used only 3 years old cheap thinking this will be easy to re-work to perfect play-ability (work fret work from Gibson factory I'd ever seen). I ended up having to redo the rosewood board completely and start from scratch. Sold it after another couple years for a handsome price for all the time I had to put into it ... now I know why it was so cheap in the first place. I have a '82 Black on Black LP Standard I bought new and have never put a more than the time to do re-stringing ever few weeks of heavy use on stage or studio. That one Gibson made perfect by chance or luck an I was lucky 'nuff to buy it.

Never had an urge for a Gold Top again. I would love another '61 Les Paul Custom (SG) instead to match my other well used one.

Sorry 'bout the old lousy pics, I'm a Luthier not a photographer.
