If you're gonna rip somebody off, there's something to be said for doing it right, eh? Over the last several years, I have intended to get to the bottom of an issue for myself. Every time I have Led Zeppelin's Presence playing and I hear For Your Life? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FEucAx3dGE[/ame] I hear the bridge with its descending chord progression at about 2:30 and I think STP. The part is repeated several times in the song, again 03:57. Okay - not this STP: But this STP: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwaiYWOin_M]Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song Official Music Video *HD* *720p* - YouTube[/ame] The descending run begins at 00:53. It is repeated at 01:47, twice at 02:23, and closes the song at 3:31. This has bugged me for a few years now, and today I took the time to A/B them. Not bad, eh? Alright, I wouldn't say they ripped Led Zep off per se; I would call it a great use of musical resources.
