..and could build the guitar room of your choice.
What would go in it?
Pics where possible!
4 SGs, 2 standards one ebony one natural burst, a vintage special reissue, like Pete's and a '61 reissue as well as a LP Goldtop, and a Tobacco Burst.
My actual dream guitar. I'd love to own one, this may be a LP forum but I'm an SG man until the very end.
56, 57 goldtop
58, 59, 60 burst
58 flying v, explorer
gretsch country gent
as many different marshall, and fender amps ias i could squeeze in
If I got 10M first I'd build my parish a bigger church.
then pay off bills.
Buy a Jeep Rubicon
And instead of a guitar room, I'd build a jam room with:
Adequate P.A. (all mackie stuff)
Adequate recording equipment
All the guitars I already own.
A Ludwig "Ringo: drumset
An adequate bass rig
Some kind of Marshall tube stack or maybe some Budda, Bogner, or Hughes and Kettner combo amps.
and I'll search for the ultimate Les Paul Junior, Desert Burst standard, and R9
Hell a 3 car garage with a loft apartment/ jam room/workshop
So many guitars, yet no pics yet. Come on - you're a virtual millionaire!
Ok, here's my virtual picture
Like it?? I'd probably give a million to my church, put whatever else is needed for college, and then use whatever's left for a lp custom, sg custom, strat, R9, a bunch of pedals and some big tube amp. and whatever's left i'll just save untill i need a house. No "room" per se just a bunch of guitars and stuff.
The Bloomfield 'burst, the Peter Green 'burst, the Duane Allman goldtop that's on the cover of VG, and the Clapton "Fool" SG.
And maybe the Duane Allman SG/Les Paul for good measure.
i'd pay my estranged wife for one more good roll in the hay lol
I've got a good start... Sorry bout the pic size
I'd pay off my bills, pick up a 56 and a 57 GT, a P90 black beauty, a Burst with a fat neck, and a couple of Juniors. All vintage, of course!
I would do the following-
Give $1M to my Church
Give $1M to Charity
'57 Les Paul Gold Top
'57 Les Paul Black Beauty 3pu with Bigsby
'59 Les Paul Standard
'70s EDS-1275 White
'08 Les Paul Axcess
'08 EDS-1275 White
2 Marshall Stacks
Now... on to my cars.
'08 Ferrari F430 Scuderia
'08 Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640
'08 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet
'08 Bentley Continental Flying Spur
A nice house with a nice garage and studio... and I still have 4 million to use as spending money and savings.
and what I already have.
'07 Epi Std
Sometimes a lot of money can complicate your life. I really don't know if I would want the headaches. But if I did win it, I would give half to my Mom, give a million each to my Uncles (good guys) and then bank the rest. With the economy going south I would expect interest rates to rise eventually and I would live off the interest.
I agree with the beginning, extremely smart. Gosh. We are like brothers lol.
I'd pay a guy $500,000 to steal JP's No.1.
The only guitar room I would even be remotely interested in would be the open air guitar room as I lay in my hammock slung between two palm trees on the remote beach front property I purchased with lottery winnings!
Stop playing long enough to jump in my boat and catch something for lunch and dinner!
I really wouldn't add much to my guitar collection other than maybe a REAL Burst! I'm more than happy with what I already have!
1 Gibson Les Paul Custom - Ebony
1 Gibson Les Paul Custom - Alpine White
1 Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom - Ebony ( Signed by Tomo Milicevic )
I would want a McSwain Custom Guitar Replica of "Pythagoras"
Jared Leto's Custom Guitar
And I would buy my best friend some guitars too
( He is a bassist )
1 Gibson Thunderbird Gothic
1 Schecter 004 ( Dale Stewart )
Then I would most likely donate most of it
But thank you for putting that fantasy in my head
I'd probably donate 500,000-1,000,000 of it to some charities then I'd buy myself a nice secluded house somewhere with a great view that has a sound-proofed studio. after that I'd buy various Les Pauls, SGs, ESs and some Strats along with a couple marshall stacks. When I got all that I would buy a nice drumset and some nice recording stuff. I'd give some to my parents, maybe a little to my brother, save enough for future kids to go to college and maybe invest/save the rest.
I'd have a full blown recording studio at my beck and call, with a couple of good engineers on retainer. When I'm not in it, I'd rent it out.
