    Hello!

I recently bought a 90s Orville by Gibson Reissue Custom Les Paul. It should have had Gibson Classic 57 pickups. Since they sounded really sweet, for once, I didn't check them.

I then traded the ObG and the new owner wanted to use his own pickups and sell the C57s. However, what he discovered was not what any of us expected.

I have since bought back the pickups from him (I think it was the honourable thing to do, since it was my bad not checking) and I would really like to know if these could be Screamings, Dry Zs or something of the sort.

Notice that both seem to have had a central sticker removed from the back. They both have braided vintage style leads, although they both have an additional inner white plastic insulation between the hot wire and the black cloth.

Also, it looks like at least one of the plastic bobbins inside are cream.

They measure at 7.29 and 7.50 ohm

    Many thanks in advance.

It looks like they are 57 classics but the paf sticker is missing. You can see the glare where it used to sit.

Hi LpCustom2007. Thanks for the quick answer.

My problem is I have never seen C57s with 2 holes for the cable opposite one another (one with no cable). Neither do I recall the white plastic cable inside the braided one.

According to that thread, they are Screamin 82 pickups.

    Hi zolko,
Thank you so much. You could be right. They look just the same.
Someone got a really good deal on those pickups.
