Why are the 2013 and 2014 models more? Condition?

It's worth what you are willing to pay.
    No more, no less.
They were $2199 brand new in 2012 BTW.

2012 have the dreaded 2 ply fingerboards...

2013 + 2014s have no weight relief holes.

I have a 12 traditional plus top and i am keeping it. Very nice top, great neck, and plays and sounds great. I did however put a jonesy harness in it and a faber bridge.
    This one stays..

I have a 2012 Traditional Pro and it has a one piece rosewood fingerboard. Even if it did have a 2 piece fingerboard how would that affect the sound?

I defy anyone to pick one from the other by listening to the guitars A/B tested.

Run unless it has a holy grail top

My 2013 Trad from CME shipped, full setup, taxes was $1900 and that is brick and motor and was as the 2013 were closing out. 1500-1700 assuming its nice. Add a lil if its a store.

I think the 2013 and 2014 Plus model has weight relief. The Trad is the model without weight relief.

Gibsons sellers on ebay have gone absolutely bonkas. I've been watching these things for a while and makes absolutely no sense. People asking $2000 for 2005 trads. wtf?

    They're on crack.

If they were selling - you'd say - fair enough. But you see the same stock and sellers over and over again.

The only Gibsons that are selling on the webz are from sites like Craigs list. Avoid ebay.

Sounds a little high, but they might be jacking up the price because they know many people don't want to spend $4000 for a new 2015 model. I haven't looked, but $2100 might be what they're trending at compared to what most of us would have paid a year ago.
