Are we counting acoustics? And basses? But not banjos and ukes?

That works for me, although I do have one banjo and one uke.

    Let's see, there are these:

So that's 28. But I bought a duplicate of the Wildkat pictured, to flip, which I haven't sold yet.

    So that's 29.

    Plus these 2 acoustics:

    So that's 31.

Plus this crappy acoustic-electric I bought for a church gig and never got around to selling/upgrading:

    So, 32. Yeah, I'ma go with 32.

If you include a bass, and acoustics, I'm sitting at 14 right now (was 15, but did a 2 fer 1 to get a Santa Cruz acoustic).

Thanks. You liked the original pick-ups too? I replaced the chrome hardware with black. I’m considering a different Humbucker. What do you recommend?

    Thanks.

Two less than I had before. Just parted with 2 super nice guitars. 78 Wine Deluxe & a flamey 07 DC Standard. Not as painful as expected. :h5:A good friend ended up with them so I might get to play them again. A couple more are going as well then I'll only have way too many guitars again;):cheers2:

I have been thinning the herd lately, just a bit.

    I have kept 6 guitars:
    1 jazz archtop hollow body
    2 semi hollow
    2 solid body
    1 classical

That makes a reasonable amount and variety, I hope I will capable of keeping things like that :)

The stock pickups were okay. I never played it much. If I remember right, I brought it to a few rehearsals and liked it.

If I were still using it, yeah I would switch out the pickups. For my uses (hard rock/classic metal) I'd start with a JB. Generic, but has always delivered for me. From there I might switch to a Duncan Custom or Custom/Custom....

For singles I'd go buy Fender 57/62s (if they even still make them - I haven't switched out pickups in years). Those have always been my favorite non-vintage single coils. I am not a dude who stresses too much over pickups - if a guitar is "weak" or has some VERY obvious frequency issue that makes it "unfriendly" I'll do a switch IF the guitar is killer. Otherwise, anymore, I just return or sell.

The ESLP is no more, and not shown is a Ibanez SR bass and a Squire mini strat that is for the grandson if he decides to learn when he gets abit older.

Well.....I have had real bad bouts of GAS since I started playing at age 40. I was up to 65 guitars and 30 amps at one point! I stopped playing for a while and was down to "only" 12 for a time. I started playing and collecting again a few years back and shot back up to around 40 instruments, but am consolidating again (down to a mere 32) - trying to get to a couple dozen prime pieces. The problem is, they're all so wonderful, and each has its' own tone and personality. It's hard to let stuff go - almost like letting your kids go LOL.
