Bump to remind folks that today is the Guitar Expo!
It's a good one...
Can't wait till Gibson day on Saturday!!!!!
Be there or be square!
My trip is postphoned...Weather is not too good in Reflectorland this morning and it's getting worse.
Was hoping to pick up my R0 today and test drive an incoming
Too bad Mike. East of Rochester is good right now, but it's supposed to get pretty bad later. Thinking of leaving soon so I can beat it.
Better safe than sorry boys....be safe and hope to make it for the next meet up at the HOG!
Thanks Fifty! Headin' out now.
Did you play this one....is it still there...I need this lol!
Gawd, that's stunning!!!! Just got back from The HOG! Great time there today! The rep was showing me a new SG, with the "etune" system on it. Ok, for those of us who are diehard vintage types, these won't float you boat, but I have to admit< I was really impressed! The sucker tunes your guitar for you, including alternate tunings and you can even store your own custom tunings. Traditional no, cool, YES!!! I'm really impressed with what's coming out of Gibson these days. I bought a Gibson USA Firebird in November, and LOVE it! The guitar snob in me want's to hate it, as it's not a Custom Shop model, and it was less the half the price of my Historic goldtop, but it's just an amazing guitar! Well done, Gibson!
It was snowing to hard for the 90 minute drive from Buffalo today. Sorry I missed a good time and a chance to meet some of the MLP guys. Maybe next time.
Not sure Fifty? One of these guys is still available though:
I think it's the first one?
Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to play anything. I listened to Chet Catallo for a little while (he and the band were SMOKIN'!), drooled over what was in the store (super clean JTM45), spoke with Curt for a little while, bought a Vox 845 Wah Wah for my friend's son, who just recently started learning to play (THANKS FOR THE CABLE CURT!!!!) and had to leave. Good thing I did too. Took us an hour longer than normal to get home. The further east we went, the worse the weather got. Saw several cars off the road during the trip there and back.
Curt did show me a beautiful "Redeye" he just got in. GORGEOUS top! At certain angles it looks 3-D. I do believe however, that it's spoken for? Someone here in fact, whose name I will not divulge lest I spoil their HNGD.
Always a good time at the HOG!
Thanks again Curt!!!!
Hey...this one is unavailable....someone I know grabbed it....for his birthday...he's in The Mafia....THE FIFTYWATTMAFIA
Seriously, thanks Curt...for putting up with my stalking of this one...I will wear this one out
...oh and thanks brother Mike60 and Mfolet for ALL THE GAS!!!!! But seriously you guys and your trips to the Almighty HOG help me find this one!!!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm speechless!
Looks like 2014 will be a good year also.
Did you snatch that one up?
Congrats on a stunning guitar . It's so nice , it needs to be posted again
Happy B'day . As always HOG does it again . Now
The HoG is my LGS. I've spent plenty of time here. (And plenty of $$$). Great place to kill an afternoon or evening, just playing guitars.
