gibson went after a few companies that made lp copies because thay were visually exact copies..hondo was the flagship of this lawsuit.after gibson won all the other companies changed the look a bit, keeping gibson off their back..I know the body is made of plywood, and no way shape or form are thay close to gibson/epiphone lp's,,it's just this guitar was my first decent guitar and back in 1987 I had to move from K.C. to colorado and I left mine at my sisters house...well to make a long story short,my ex brother in law sold it at a a garage sale:mad2:,,so ID love to get one just like it to keep me modest and grounded, and to remember where it all started:)

And actually i will take 150 for it if that wrks better, that covers the money i put into repair, the guy i bought it from had not taken good care of it so i had to do some stuff with the switch, and the input, but sounds and plays like a dream now. let me know

Oooh I feel your pain, neighbor... I let my old uber-tweaked H2 get away from me and for 20 years now it's been my biggest "shoulda kept it" guitar regret. If anyone in the Phoenix area spots a white Hondo II with Schaller tuners and four micro toggles in between the knobs, email me! :)
