Limited Run #16 Custom Shop Explorer Mahogany TV. Available in 4 finishes...
Same with the 3 GCs & 2 Sam @$$ stores within driving distance of me. Hardly any USA Gibson for that matter. Squire, low end MIM Fender, Epiphone, Ibanez, LTD, and Schecter. All amps are pretty much SS ftl now too. Meh.
Buyers market is about to end.
I don’t think so.
In reality though, who cares, many have moved on to other things.
I don’t even own a Gibson anymore. My Custom Guitars are so much better, why bother.
You are talking about a personal thing.I'm talking in the big picture sort of speak.
As far as custom guitars or amps.We have them here too and they are great instruments but in the big picture they don't hold their value as a Gibson at this time.
Lets say little jimmy wants to start playing guitar. You have a choice of the custom hand built or a off the rack Gibson to get little Jimmy for a gift. Which guitar will be less of a loss when little Jimmy discovers football ?
I know the answer .....the hard way infact.
Ah might be just the Scotch Ale talkin lol.
As long you don't talk back to Scotch Ale it's all good
You got that right.
Oh well, I really couldn't find any thing to motivate me anyways. Meh tops and light, streaky boards not my thing. No matter how sweet the deal is. Settled for a nice 2010 Traditional flame top for a song last summer. Guitar is a real player. Since made some mods to it and it hangs. Then several months ago I jumped on a unique flame top early pre-historic '59. More recently a killer Tele. That elusive sunburst R9 with the wide flame and mineral streaks never revealed itself. At least in my price range.
Loves some JW Blue or Gold label, I hope they don't discontinue em ,
Totally agree about retained value. If you’re going to flip Fender & Gibson is generally a better option.
I can't remember the last run of custom shop les pauls I was excited about. I tried to remember and I can't.
I've never been excited about guitars, just when ya need a new one, ya need one.
I eat them thiings up faster than pancakes for breakfast.
They should come with a lifetime fret wear warranty.
Little Jimmy is going to get a guitar for about 150 bucks, not a Gibson.
Little Crotchy got a MIM Strat for his first guitar.
My first electric guitar was $25 Tedesco Del Rey and it came with a 65 Fender Champ for free.
That was 1971!
