    Cool story, thanks. :thumb: :applause:

I’m always trying to get a Larson Cartoon that sort of "fits" with what we are discussing in this lighthearted Thread.

There certainly is a "sales pitch" going on at Gibson as Henry & his cohorts try to think of ways to increase sales & profitability.

Worse, yet, is that Gibson is claiming that they need a whole new factory to improve 335 quality.

..............will check it out later but sounds like a combination of smoke & mirrors with a little "boot strapping" thrown in for good measure.

Keep changing things so the lenders don't get a handle on what is really going on.

It is true that a failry major portion of Gibsons current Memphis facility is much more than manufacturing. It has mega show rooms, live concert areas, etc..

A smaller/cheaper facility only for production IMO would be a improvement in many, if not all, areas of building quality guitars only.

Leave the showcases to the dealers or NAMM and related events.

    Going DOWN ,,, H*ll , Next Stop ...
That Video , imo , is pretty cool . Although ,,, some of it is redundant and isn't much different then others ....Picky ,Yes, I'm being picky ....
The guitar player is something else .... He don't need any effects and plays great and Lefty too ....

For whatever it's worth ,, How about Using the complete quotes ??? To keep in context ???

"Gibson Brands CEO Henry Juszkiewicz said, “We are extremely excited about this next phase of growth that we believe will benefit both our employees, and the Memphis community. I remember when our property had abandoned buildings, and Beale Street was in decline "

The Spin he's is selling that move he' s making as Helping the workers and the City .. When , it's most likely , he's helping his bank account .... Just like he's concerned about the BRW trees .....
Maybe I should take his lead ,,,,and Have a all BRW LP made next year .... :wow::eek2::facepalm:

Hey Bernard, check out the face on the guy sitting down next to the Cans on the stand.

His expression says it all.

The guy behind him taking pics is a happy camper, so HJ is obviously trying to get out of the crapper by looking at different markets.

I hate to say it but it is a changing market, that’s for sure.

Who really knows what will happen in a Society geared up for instant gratification.

Hey I know, the Gibson Love Robot. Let HJ give you a HJ.

    Cheers, Rudi.

If the move to a smaller facitlity helps reduce overhead costs and saves employee jobs in this guitar market then IMO it's a good move.
