I can't see the guitar (2016 Standard Historic LP59 VOS Iced Tea) for real and wonder if I should go or not and the deal's ending soon. I'm just not sure about the true color versus the digital pictures.
Anyone may help me tell how the colors (not figures) could be for real? More/less yellow/red/brown?
On the following "bad" picture, it almost looks like a LB...

(I started a thread here also, but I'm not sure I would hit the right public)

    Many thanks for any help!

Bonus question: does Virtuoso change the color perception as well as the shine and figures enhancement?

That stuff is polish, not color enhancer..

Correct. Let me rephrase my "bonus question": I just wondered if dark and light colors will be seen darker or lighter after polish...
Anyway, my main concern here is: how far are the colors of the above picture from the actual guitar color?

That picture looks like regular Iced Tea on my phone I'd say pretty accurate. Polishes will just make the guitar look cleaner and won't enhance anything.

Nice top. Post a few more pics.

I'm judging by the color of the case lining which looks close to real life, i would say that the guitar maybe lighter than shown, most pictures i take with my i-phone end up showing colors i don't see. Like my R8 lemon shows red i don't see. IMG_0235.JPG
The orangey red around the toggle switch and horn i don't see in real life, but it shows up here in the i-phone picture.

Do you see it yellow and orange or yellow and brown on your phone?
I will... if I make the deal!

So, I may expect the actual color would be more orange than brown, right? Or more very light brown vs. light brown?

No orange. More of a light brown, you know, like iced tea. :laugh2:

Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know. Because on my computer screen it looks more orange than brown.

Thanks for those pictures. On my screen it looks like the color is yellow on the center an fading to light orange on the sides of the top. But you do confirm that the actual color of the edges (as seen by your eyes and not any camera or screen) is more light brown than orange?

What you're trying to do is impossible.
"Real" color "gamut" reproduction is something every monitor/printer manufacturer
is after; so are camera manufacturers (and I guess smart phone manufacturers to a certain extent).

How is the original color been affected by the camera/phone, then by the monitor/screen?
    Impossible to decipher.

On top of that, there are/might be differences from one guitar to another
    or one batch to another.
So you're in multiple approximations territory.

That said, it seems to be a beautiful guitar.

Everything you wrote is absolutely true. The point is : I've never seen a VOS Iced Tea with my own eyes. ;) That's why I ask people who own or have seen one in person.

If you see only yellow on your guitar, where's the burst? From light to dark yellow? No brown on the edges?

This photo is of the same guitar in my avatar, taken with a different phone, the red in the avatar is from the phone.
This close up is how it really looks, to me anyways.

Thanks. I understand what you mean : angle, ambiant light, camera screen correspondance, etc So I guess yours has a very light burst. ;)

What others say: reds tend to get a boost in phone pix. So it will look browner, not so orange IRL.

True, but I've seen pictures of other ITs with less red. I'm more into light brown than red and I don't want to make the guitar come to my place if I have to send it back the next day.
So, thanks for your answer. I'm closer to buying it, now.
