I typically use a Rockerverb MKIII and its clear as day. 1 16 ohm cab...16 ohm jack. 2x16 ohm cabs 8ohm jack for each cab.

I just bought a 75 OR80 today...not as clear. 2 jacks. Easy enough. Then theres the switch on the head...do I leave it at 16 ohms or do I kick the switch to 8ohms under the impression that it sets both outputs to 8 ohm like the dual outs on my rockerverb? OP, see if you can carefully remove that tape residue. There might be a "4" hiding underneath it.

My bet is the two jacks are wired parallel. So, if I'm right, two 8 ohm speakers would need to be set at 4ohms, and two 16 ohm speakers set for 8.

Good to hear you're alive and kicking, Brian!

Both speakers hooked up? Put the switch to 8.

    Wondered where you've been, bud.

That's awesome. A man spending too much on gear is a fortunate dude. Great to hear!

Im supposed to sell my Rockerverb mkIII to recoup for the OR80 but the more I play the more I want both. 1 cab each? Maybe a/b the heads? Maybe 2 more cabs? Maybe a 612?

My wife is going to stab me while I sleep. All I know is that after this experience I need an attenuator!! Holy hell is this thing LOUD!!!!!

Grats on the OR 80 !!! I always wanted one, but they are hard to find :) I did have a 75 OR 120 that was WAY too loud. ( and I play in a REAL loud band ) Also, keep in mind those old orange amps were not made to be run at modern US Wall voltages. Many people have issues with this popping fuses etc. They need to be run at about 106-108 US volts typically. Get a Variable Power Transformer and step the volts down if you have this issue.
