Hello MyLesPaul forum members As my first post I would like to ask for your advice. I'm interested in purchasing a used Epi Les Paul Standard from a swedish website similar to craigslist. The seller lives in my town, so I'll be able to test the guitar before playing it. From the pictures and serial number it seems that the guitar is a standard transparent red (TR) made in DaeWong - China in 2004. It has some dings (one of them quite big as you will notice), and has been used a lot. The pickup switch has been replaced, but everything else is stock. At first I was a bit suspicious since I wasn't able to find any other Epi LP with Transparent Red finish, but maybe they simply aren't made this way anymore. The price is 1700 SEK which is about 268 USD. Now all other used Epi LP Standards cost between 350 and 580 USD, so this one is quite a lot cheaper (plus it's close, to I can test it before purchasing). What so you think? Is it a good buy? When I test it (planning to do so on two days from now), what should I look out for? It's my first time buying a guitar, and this will be my first Les Paul... So I really want to make it right Here are the pictures I have: http://img156.imageshack.us/slideshow/webplayer.php?id=epiphone1.jpg THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!
