I was left a custom Les Paul Sunburst (I think). I don't know what to do with it. The neck is cracked in the back. I would like to sell it. Do I need to get it fixed first?

6/12/15 Hey guys - I decided not to sell until I can figure out who made it and what it will cost for repair. Thanks for your interest. I am shocked how many people are interested in buying this "thing."

    Let BCRGreg fix it.

    He's near you.

    Looks good!

Are you sure that's a Gibson?

    I agree.

I wasn't trying to be accusatory.

    Just pointing out an observation.

BCRGreg is a member here who is located in NY or NJ I think.

He is a real pro at fixing guitars.

If it isn't a Gibby, it may not be worth it.

Find out what you have first.

A few days before my husband died he said "My Les Paul should get you some money." 1. I did not understand why he said that. I did not know he was going to die 4 days later. 2. I didn't know there was a Les Paul in the house. He never played it. He had another electric he played and an acoustic. I believe the Les Paul was custom made by a famous guy in NYC in the early or mid 1970's. But I thought he sold this guitar. My husband was the lead guitar for the house band for the OBI South in 1976. His band saved the OBI South. The owner wrote a book about the OBI.

JorNak - $100-$200 THAT"S CHEAP!! I was thinking of keeping the guitar if it is worthless and hanging it on the wall. I don't want to keep anything I might have to insure. Thank you very much for your help!
