    This is a 'Tombstone' type headstock, used on the MiJ Export Elite/Elitist models

    I have always referred to the standard Epiphone headstock as a "boat paddle".

    My god again a rant about the Epi headstock. Yawn.... If you don't like, buy something else. Done.

    Love every single bit of my Epi, headstock it's perfect the way it is;

    I refer to it as "ugly".

    Most Epi headstock look fine, but not the "standard" one on Les Pauls. It would be similar to Epi making a Les Paul with a body shape that is significantly different (like a pointy cutaway).

    When you are copying an iconic SHAPE, copy the whole shape. Let's face it, Epi Les Pauls exist only for the shape. They could have chosen from a million double-humbucker designs, but the chose the Les Paul. Then.... they messed it up.

    Well, they messed it up for some parts of the world. Others....they get "the good stuff".
