My first poll here. Please be kind and answer honestly.

I bought my Martin D12-28 in September 2016 and never thought I'd like or play it as much as I have. Had a brief go at a custom one-off Fender Mustang / Fender 12 sort of looking thing in the early 80s. They wanted too much for what it was - a pretty good luthiers attempt at a double neck that was not a Gibson. It had genuine Fender necks.

Was curious as to the current like / dislike / indifference to a magnificent guitar that may not have survived the earlier 20th century had it not been for masters like Leadbelly.

Then came the folk movement, The Beatles, The Byrds, countless singer / songwriters in the 70s, Leo Kottke and more recently the late great Tom Petty. There are more to be sure.

I've included some responses purely for fun, but genuine likes / dislikes / experience is what I'm after. You cannot change your vote once cast.

"Bewbs" is an odd poll tradition at http://www.clubwrx.net where I'm a nearly 14 year member / moderator. If there is not a Bewbs option, it is not an official sanctioned poll. Sort of.

Well ... I screwed up one choice: I own at least one - acoustic

Pretend the "- acoustic" is not there - if you own any 12 string select it. If a moderator would be so kind to remove the "- acoustic" bit, I'd be grateful. I'm used to fixing these screw-ups myself at ClubWRX ...

    It's good to be a moderator ...

Yep. Incorrect spelling counts. For some reason.

Did have a Sigma 12 string years ago. Thinking about picking up a Taylor, I love my GA size 6 string.

I have a Yamaha 12 string acoustic and I've just finished building a 12 string Strat.
I keep the acoustic tuned to D...makes it easier to play and saves on high G strings!

I've always had one, starting with a late 60 Danelectro Coral longhorn 12, to Epiphones, and now have an 76 Epiphone, and an 73 Gianinni Cravola 12.

Our poll tradition here is to include "rat's ass".

In this case, I chose my Martin 12 string. One of the only guitars I ever bought brand-new, and...if memory serves....the only I ever bought at GC.

I played it for an hour one day.

Came back the next day... played some more. I compared it to the others in stock. The action was so nice, I caved and bought it.

I never play it. I never even pull the case out. Anyone want a terrific 12 string?

Are you seriously looking to rehome? Probably out of my price range, but let me know!

I voted "own one", but I don't right now. I've owned two acoustics -- one was my only guitar for a couple of years back in the 80s. I loves me a twelver. I kept mine in standard tuning or occasionally in Eb or open-D.

There's another one in my future, probably a Taylor. They make great boxes and they've got the slimmest necks I've ever played on 12ers.

I own a Dean Performer SE-12 acoustic and a Sanatoga JT Hawk 12 electric (looks like a cross between a Rickenbacker and a Telecaster)

Sooner or later every guitarist will at least experiment with a 12-string and a capo. Because of one song.

I like how they sound but I have never played one.

I imagine myself changing 12 strings and I stop wanting to try one.

Had an Aria acoustic for about 35 years. The neck is nice and narrow to facilitate switching to electric. Sounds wonderful and makes mundane stuff sound better. Have an electric 10 string Bich which is interesting. At low volumes it has the accoustic vibe . Loud and distorted it demands heavy stuff.
