When Gibson go under it would be wonderful if Heritage could purchase the Gibson guitar brand and get to work ... !

I guarantee, if any of you played those 3 guitars at NAMM, you'd strongly consider overlooking the headstock design.

The HS is longer than the Neck. :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Seriously though I like Heritage Guitars, I just struggle with the length of the HS.

Maybe I could add a Sock Puppet on the end or a Baseball Cap. ;) :p :D

    :cheers2:

Ain't gonna happen because I have a SC that would smoke those Guitars...........& the HS looks better.

We've had Heritage Guitars here in Australia for years, they are fine Guitars if you get a good one (just like any other brand) but they are not outstanding Guitars...........IMHO only.

While a few of you like the HS I am 100% sure that it has had an impact on their sales.

As I said in an earlier post, I know a lot of Guitar players that do not like that HS & as a result overlook what they have to offer.

    My 2c FWIW.

    :cheers2:

Form follows function.............I don't think so in this case.

As a matter of fact, I am going to ask Junior (my Son, who has an Honors Degree in Industrial Design from one of the World's leading Industrial Design Universities).

I'll send him the pics & see what he has to say about it & the reasoning etc.

    :cheers2:

I totally agree that it has a negative impact on sales, which is sad indeed.

I'm looking forward to hearing his results. I also have a Takamine and a couple Seagulls, a V and some Fenders with less string splay. I have my opinions of resonance and string feel based on playing them.. however, I'll hold off until science weighs in. -Cheers!

I assume Edwin was hinting at a significant redesign. Still, that's not happening until after Harmony is launched.

Too many choices out there that have both form and function to buy one that you don't like the looks of. Hell, it's the opposite with PRS.....those things look great, are well designed, and in most cases fairly priced, but, they just don't have IT.

I have more of a problem with the horn than I do the headstock.

I'm very pleased to hear this!

    I hate the headstock.....

But they are made VERY well...my wife and I toured the Heritage plant a few years ago .... I almost bought a hollow body ....but couldn't get over the headstock....it throws the whole "elegance" of a piece way off. It's un balanced as a whole.....

You're probably saying that 'cause you can't see the headstock. :naughty:

Like you, I don't get the headstock hate myself. It looks decent, perhaps not so artsy as others but its sure better than a banana or a Jackson eye-poker. Does the damned thing work?
