Clapton & Iommi ...
No one specified what TYPE of SG. So my vote goes to Jack Bruce!
There's many other guitarists I think of first, but here's one that always jumps into my head and has ever since I saw this ad almost 25 years ago:
... solely because I didn't associate Bill Frisell with SGs or Marshalls, and at that time I didn't associate jazz with that sort of rig.
I started listening to rock in the very late 70s and right after I outgrew Kiss Boston was my big thing. Thanks to Ace Frehley I was already a Les Paul fan but Barry Goudreau turned me onto SGs and my first couple of real Gibsons were SGs. Whenever I get one in my hands first thing I do is start to play the solo for Long Time LOL
besides, Tony, Angus and Townshend it's COC and The sensational Alex Harvey Band! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2I2mK_3_ns[/ame][ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zuuwG7NuPk&feature=related[/ame]
The reason I wont own an SG is Angus Young. The only one that I ever fancied was the white custom with the three pickups. Now THATS a sweet guitar!
Angus, Tony, Eric, Derek and Page.
If not already added, check out Gordie Johnson of Big Sugar.
He plays loud and dirty and rocks it hard!
I don't like Angus, but Frank Marino fits the bill !!
When I think SG, I always thing the P90 ones that Townshend used
Angus Young for sure
First three to spring to mind (in order) were: Angus Young; Pete Townshend; Eric Clapton
IOMMI for sure.
Carlos from the early years.
if i had to pick 1 and only it would be........

Not picking on you.....but it's my duty
Pete Townsend, which is strange because he's played just about everything.
The man that makes an SG look huge, Angus Young.
