That's gonna be a big hit for Gibson. Twice- I'm sure they're one of the creditors getting stiffed (GC owes them for a LOT of inventory), and because if GC goes under there goes Gibson's primary physical distribution channel, now that they've priced out all the local stores.
Terrible news - where will we be able to test out guitars in-person to buy online cheaper?
Also, where will we be able to source missing knobs and toggle tips?
They will be reduced to this soon....
They're a pretty shtty store so,....the market will decide. I stopped going when they kept lying to me about what's in the store just so I'd go there, only to realize that no they do not have that guitar in stock and they wasted my time and gas with lies on the phone.
I buy strings, picks, guitars online now. Fck 'em.
Haven't been to one in years.
Gonna be buying some gear in the near future, as soon as they start the fire sales.
Here's a thought make less product at a fair price point. Other guitar manufacturers operate with this philosophy.
Guitar Center doesn't make stuff.
Great P-Shop and love your avatar! Noddy forever
Are there any companies that people care about how they're ran more than people care about Guitar Center and Gibson? I don't get it.
Depends on the forum you're visiting. Every hobby has it's Gibson and GC.
quoted for truth.
Whew! And I was just about to order a Martin D-100 from them.
No one's standing outside in the cold for 2 days like an idiot to get the latest Les Paul
No one bursts into tears like a little girly-man and holds their new guitar over their head as if they actually just accomplished something monumental with their life
I was referring to Gibson regarding making stuff I should have been more clear.
That's a whole different type of "passion".
yeah in that, "I love her so much if she looks at another man I'll tie her to the bed and set the house on fire!" kind of passionate way.
They just opened a new guitar center here in Maryland last month. Its 5 minutes away and I have yet to even drive by it.
My wife did show me a picture of the place taken on her cell phone.
