    Gents-
I'm requesting a little guidance from you in regards to a new-to-me set of pu's. As far as I know they have not been modified and are as they were from the "factory". The solder broke free on one so I was able to remove the cover to check it out. Being that I've never pulled a pu apart before, I don't really know what to expect to see.

So my question is does this look correct? If so I can just resolder the covers.
If not, should I just get them repotted?

    Thanks for any input

That is typical of the light potting done to the cover to reduce the vibrational squeal.
Once back together you can simply use a hairdryer to remelt the wax. But the pickup typically needs to be solidly clamped so the cover is as tight to the top of the pickup as possible

    Cool.
I'll just clamp it, put the wifey`s hair dryer to it and resolder.
    Thanks man
