Something Zeppish. I'm not sure if these guys have ever been talked about here but they're pretty good for being kids. I'm a fan of guitar players but an even bigger fan of great drummers and this guy does it right.

they are alright. I like them. a little too much time spent trying to use zeppelin trademarks though. if the singer didn't do those screams and ad-libs many probably wouldn't have given them a second listen. myself included. he doesn't really sound like robert plant otherwise. he just has a nasily singing voice and copies a lot of robert plants inflections.

the solo for highway tune is a bit of a let down for how high energy the rest of the song is. I get what he was going, a bit of a south bound saurez thing but it doesn't really stand out.

I get a pretty generic feel from their music. they play with intensity but aside from that, there isnt much character. I would say they are more like ac/dc than zeppelin.

Zep cover bands are a dime a dozen.

    Give me something not generic.

true but the difference is they aren't adding a new element to the equation. led zeppelin stole songs but they sounded like zeppelin when they played them. these guys are rearranging zeppelin riffs and everything and they sound like zeppelin when they play them.

They're playing Rock music +, They are touring and making money +, They put an EP out +,

I'm happy to see a band of young kids trying to making a living at what is a dying business...

Beats the HELL out of all the mainstream, no talent, pop music BS on the radio...

That looks like fun. Very controlled, clean studio stuff. They need a couple full stacks and plexis.

Unfortunately, when the singer hits puberty, those high notes will be out of his range... Very Plant-like and the howl almost sounded like he's going to into "ohhhh...rosie!"

I'll just say "good luck" to them for a career with any longevity.

Sounds like someone's got into Grampa's record collectiom!?!

Well, a bit cliched ridden and they've trodden too heavily into the Mighty Zep's footprints...
...that said, at least they are a bunch of young kids who are playing blues based rock & roll.

In time, they should find their own voice. If not, this sh!t they make will get old real quick.
The Black Crows' commercial success, was short lived due to their own heavy handed "borrowing" from the 70's era Stones, Stewart/Faces. They got a lot of, "Hey, don't they sound a lot like..."
These guys are in that dangerous area with this sound they have. It's got them some attention, but it will
soon enough be a novelty act if they don't create their own sound.

When I first heard the White Stripes, it sounded, to me, like a garage band version of Zep. Yet it had it's own thing
going on. You could hear the influence, but it still forged it's own sound. A few seconds into these guys and I really could not take it anymore...and I love Zep.

So, praises for being young and doing blues based rock in a modern music landscape that has all but shunned this
form of music. But, points lost for lacking any integrity for trying to create an original sound. Actually, it's just
a bit lazy of them, to be honest. It takes work/effort to forge a unique sound. Damn, punks! Get off my lawn!
