    Hi Guys,

    just new to the forum,

Have always wanted a Les Paul but never got there, recently I was offered this & after reading some threads here & google searches couldnt say no but would liek your imput. It came in the orginal case, with all the documents plus in true spinal tap fashion still had the ol tagger onnit....

It has a few very minor scratches on the reverse white cover but none on the paint & it looks like it came out of a time machine.

Serial number - this is for 1978 right ?

I've always been drawn to the old grecos. How's it play, action pretty good? Comfortable neck?

Sorry, can't give you an info. Awesome guitar though. Congrats.

Nice! Amazing to see one so mint. I also own a '78 (on the right) and sold the '79 on the left.

The '78 was really beaten up when I got it but its got an absolute ton of mojo. I came across an old DiMarzio super distortion from about 1980 and repaired the baseplate and dropped it into the '78 and and the guitar just screams, a true late 70s rock n roll machine. Its still one of my best players and a true keeper. In true Norlin style its got a slim neck, pancake body, 3 piece top etc. Although thankfully its only about 4kg/9lbs rather than the usual Norlin boat anchor.

Haha famous last words. Once you get the MIJ bug you'll never look at another Gibson again

Thanks - it plays well, the action is excellent & as I said looks hardly used at all so there is nothing wrong with the frets etc.

I only have one other guitar that I've had from the late 80's this Jackson custom so the neck etc is obviously different between the two, but I think even in stock form the pick ups on the Greco are more than an equivalent to the Jackson.
And as I said I've always wanted a Les Paul but never got around to it.. ( forgive me if posting the Jackson is sacrilege on this forum hahaha )

Long story but I've downsized my rig from a JCM 800 & Marshall quad back in the day to a 10 watt practise amp, so I'm yet to unleash it full volume through a decent amp but wil be doing so soon which I cant wait to do.

Thanks to all for your comments - much apprecaited
