My first Gibby! I've been a strictly Fender guy for the last 16 years, this one made a convert outta me! 2001 '57 Reissue. I had to leave her behind just a couple of days after finding her, I'm suffering major separation anxiety! This pic is currently the only one I've got!

Which do we like? With or without pickguard? With or without pup covers?

Can't make up my mind yet. Somehow with the covers off it looks better without the pg. Anyway, its sounds pretty much the same.

Yeah, think you're right. Actually, it seems to have made the pups hum much more too - real problem. So, next string change covers go back on...

    Cheers!

Is it cool if I post a video instead of a photo?

James Patrick at 7 yrs old.MOV - YouTube

(With apologies in advance to those patient souls who saw this already under my post "My 7yr old and my Goldtop")
Here is my 7yr-old son James showing off my (our?) 2011 Joe Bonamassa Signature GT.

My local Gibson dealer (Charlie Lovarco at Music Emporium in New York) gave me an incredible deal on this amazing instrument. According to the website, it comes with BB1 at the neck and a BB2 at the bridge. All I know is, it really sings no matter what type of sound you're going for.

And lately, instead of imagining and browsing for the Black Custom I've always thought was my wish-list topper, I've been investigating and exploring which other GT would make the best running-mate for my "Senator Joe".
(Never heard anyone else call it that, to me it just seems like the right name for that guitar, being so flashy and regal.)

I own a few other guitars (though not as many as some of you...) and this one has quickly become my favorite. The look of this axe and the finish are just so sweet, I find myself lovingly putting it away in the case with a thorough wipe-down after every playing. I've never really done with any of my other guitars.

I guess its the "Cult of the Golden LP" and I've been fully brainwashed.

    2001 R7. Nice clubby neck.
Recent aquisition. complete case queen, very mint for the year... but I'm gonna gig her alot so she's unlikely to stay like that for long.
Just replaced the bridge pickups & pots & caps, now she rocks hard.
