I've had this one for a couple years now. Not one of my favorites are far as looks go but it plays and sounds fantastic. Once I played it I knew I was keeping it in the arsenal.

Hm, interesting. From what I"ve seen, some models like the new Session say simply "made in Canada", as well as the King Pins and the Icons. Then there's the Redline, some Sessions, Radiators, Exit 22's, and a few others that say on the headstock, "made in USA from parts manufactured in Canada", or something to that effect. Well, either way, they seem like one of the top 3 best value guitars on the market, period. A Redline, Session, or Progression would be nice to have. The Icons are insane, and hell, the new Richmond Empire looks so sweet and its only $499!!!! It sucks having no dough...........

It is actually the opposite as the Canadian dollar is worth more than the US dollar right now.

I know their acoustic models are all made in Canada and I guess their electric models are made in both the US and Canada, not sure which electric models are made where though. As I said, they have four factories three of which are in Canada and one of which is in New Hampshire. The company was started in Quebec and that is where their head office is.

Some of their accessories are great too. I bought a Godin leather strap and the quality is superb for $25. In fact, I'll never buy another brand of strap again. When I buy my acoustic I'll buy a Seagull strap for it (and not just because that acoustic is likely to be a Seagull) and when I buy my Tele I'll buy the exact same strap I have for my Strat. Nice thick, soft leather with nary a stitch out of place.

Here is a link to their straps. For anyone who might want to buy one, there are separate websites for Canadian and American orders (click the 'Godin Boutique' link at the top of the page and then choose either Canada or the US).

I got an LG90 on my want badly list. My ultimate combi is a LP P90 Special meets Tele & I think this gets very close to that.

In the three pages of this thread there are several references to Godin Radiator guitars selling for $360 new. I liked the looks and did a search of on line retailers and found them priced at $499 -- not $360. Where can I find one for $360?

there's a few version of it now

I think they're all 5th Avenues with the Kingpin model having a P90, and the Kingpin II with 2 P90's and cutaway.

They now also have the Jazz with a mini bucker and the Uptown with 2 HB's.

5th ave is accoustic only, 5th ave kingpin has p-90 pickups. there is a single and 2 pickup version of the kingpin, the dual pickup has a cutaway. there are also kingpin jazz models that have humbuckers.
