I must confess I love fuzz-guitar. The more bees stinging the better. I coax some really sick fuzz out of my 4m Atoner, Prescription Electronics Face-Lift, Big Swollen Pickle, MXR Blue Box, SubDecay Noise Box and my trusty old Big Muff. Some of my fave fuzz guitar moments are.

    Satisfaction- Love Keefs lo-fi tone.
Spirt in the Sky- Norman apparently played it on a guitar w/ built-in fuzz
You Really got Me- Great fuzz from a slashed speaker cone?
Any Mudhoney tune- They have an album named SuperFuzzBigMuff
    Stooges 1969- Ron Asheton madness.

What are you're fave Fuzz Fests?

Many faves. Here are about a half a dozen of my top faves.

    Satisfaction - Rolling Stones
    American Woman - Guess Who
Reelin' In The Years - Steely Dan
Dazed And Confused - Led Zeppelin
    Revolution - Beatles
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd (funny but this is the only Floyd song I like)

In addition to those, Joe Walsh (my favorite guitarist) would use a fuzz now and then through a Marshall and Les Paul back in the James Gang days on certain tracks like "Walk Away" live.

Great stuff I love the fuzz on American woman. Reeling in the Years has one of the best solos of all-time. The Beatles were at their best when they got down and dirty. I love that tone. I think it was Georges' beautiful cherry LP. I'm glad you got"King Joe' in there. I just saw the vid to that song the other day. The drumming Kills!

Outstanding stuff fom the year I was born. I love that early garage-rock like The Seeds and The Monks. I just saw a doc. about the Monks what a cool band. The Count Five remind me alittle of another 5 band. The Mighty MC5!

Just checked out their MySpace. Cool stuff and excellent name. We had a local band in Philly years ago called The FuzzEaters.

I'm not sure if it was a fuzz pedal being used (I am assuming it was) but I love the tone on the Stone's Can't You Hear Me Knocking and would love to be able to recreate it myself.

Great song. Mick T really shines on that. It sounds like fuzz to me. I love the story about how they left the tape running and caught the end of the song jam, the best part of the song IMO. I love the stones. I just was watching Gimme Shelter . Keef looks so cool with the clear Dan Armstrong Guitar and Mick was weilding his SG.

Original song performed with a vintage Big Muff Pi, according to urban legend. Some claim the pedal was a Fuzz Factory. My memory is fuzzy.

That was a great "summer song". Good fuzz tone. I have a Big Muff maybe 10 years old. Great sustain! I had a fuzz factory. I could't get any good tones out of it. That thing drove me crazy! Took a bath when I sold it.

My 3 big fuzz fests are The Pumpkins (SD), The White Stripes and The Black Keys. All of their fuzzy tones give me the warm and fuzzies! (pun intended)
