I saw one of these on ebay not long ago. It was painted Red White and Blue though. It was listed under Custom shop guitars. Other than that, I don't know much about them.

The girl from Raging Slab played a mean slide guitar with one.

Just comparing the craigslist one and the one in the Gibson ad, it looks way off. I wonder if it's even legit?

Now that ain't very PC. People are going to get offended that Gibson put a "tunnle" from Mexico to Arizona!!!!
And putting a strap button right on the most unsatble part of the guitar? All it will take is a power cord to set off an earthquake and BAM the strap brakes off and the country goes crashing down!

I can see my house , just south of the neck pup center screw. See me waiving??? Yup thats me.

Also, definitely fake, unless they had different knob/toggle switch locations of the different guitars.

Ahh your right, that and the GIBSON almost runs off the top edge of headstock.

I remember when those first came out. Cool guitars. Epiphone has also released them recently. I've played a few of the 82's when they came out and they are what they are. Just another body shape with the typical Gibson hardware and electronics of the day. Nothing ugly about it. It's the good old USA. What's ugly about that.......except it's government? Just a rare guitar that makes for great wall art and is a solid investment.
