got this a week ago...
here's mine polished up with virtuoso....what I love about it is it is sort of like a chameleon, it changes what it looks like depending on how the light hits it. Sometimes it looks very tobacco burst other times it looks more honey burst. I got quite the compliment the other day from a guitar instructor. He is a strat guy but said "now that is a les paul I can get into...I don't even want to know what that thing costs. I told him and he didn't believe me because he thought it looked vintage.
I forgot to post the finished results of mine... here it is...
One for sale...
Yeah... if you like using your guitar to hammer nails.... That thing is worth about $500 at the most.
I like what you did there Vince. Very tastefully done.
Thanks McGruff... Mine was bought online. I wish it would have had a nice even finish your had... I would have done exactly what you have done. Your is beautiful...
Really like the LP Faded's here, especially Stonevibe's - is that a HB or TB?
Here's mine, a 2008 Honeyburst. Haven't done anything with it yet, thinking of giving it a little more sheen with polish in the future. And maybe adding a Bigsby.
My faded honey and tobacco burst
I glossed a top on one of these a while back.
Kinda wish I had kept it.
I'm not sure how I missed this thread. There's quite a few on the topic and I've posted pics before but what the hell, here they are again:
Just finished installing WB Gregwinds
Rare sunny day
Man! There are some VERY nice L@@king Standard Fadeds in this thread!
Here's my HB
What model/color/year are these? I can't find that color anywhere.
No, Long & McQuade here in Canada sold them too and another local shop called Avenue Guitars (currently at the time of this posting) has a bunch of NOS ones that aren't even put out on display.
I've owned several in the past, no longer have them. Great guitars, I really like this model and wish it was still around.
These Guitars Look Amazing ..
I have a question.. what is the color of the guitars shown by the following users:
BTW: are These and last years Faded Chamberd ?
Really wish they would make these again. Perhaps they realized they were too good of a value...
An early 90s classic, R0, midnight manhatten and a faded standard are on my watch list. Thinner varnish = better tone or so the internet rumour goes! I just think they look pretty cool and different.
It's in my hands while I type this, that's how much I love it!
