Hi friends, searching the internet I found lots of guitars with tuners very close and I have some doubts. Is it correct that distance between tuners? Is there a time when Gibson was manufactured with these heads?

Thank you very much for your help.

Thanks friends, I ask myself the same question, what is the model that the fake creators have taken as a reference to place the tuners at that distance?

Is incredible to me they have make a replica whith this enormous distance between the top of the pale and the first tuner based in the Original non-reissue from Gibson Les Paul Custom. Are you sure not exist really any original Gibson whith these tuner disposition?

Why is this even important? It's not a replica, it's a fake.
They don't make 'em to replicate anything, it's about making money by ripping unsuspecting buyers off.

Do you like the position of these tuners, or why are you asking?

I'm not headstock designer and not know the more like position of the tuners. In this case I'm seeking one more method for non expert buyers for distinguishing the fake Gibson to the original based on tuners distance. Thanks to all for your answers.

I would guess it's because the counterfeiters cannot afford to buy a real Gibson to try to knock one off. So they just make this shit up on the fly. And hope someone is stupid enough to buy one.
