How do we know that Confucious was translated correctly to begin with?
Anyone know how long the Decals have been used?
My 2005 Special has decals. Both "Gibson" and "Les Paul Special" seem to be Decals.
I posted this a while ago in a German Board and was told Gibson never used Decals.
Some decals go back to the '50s on the Melody Makers and Juniors. Some SGs also had decals, depending on the model. The statement that Gibson never used decals is patently false.
1923 Gibson L3 round hole archtop..."The Gibson"
1972 Gibson Les Paul Recording Guitar...
I think Gibson are being pedantic and precise here. The 'decal' refered to ( Les Paul Special) is known as a 'screen print' or 'Silk Screen Print'.
The Gibson Guitar Company USA logo, from ca.1982 Sonex 180 Deluxe...
