It is supposed to be a case coming with a True Historic LP59. Shouldn't the plate say "Gibson Custom" and not just "Gibson"?

OK, thanks. I didn't know and didn't find pictures with good precision enough to be sure.

Is it "Gibson Custom" for the Historic and "Gibson" for the True Historic?

The same on the standard historic LP'case ("Gibson Custom") but the True Historic's case I am looking at has the one on the picture I posted here... That made me wonder. Anyway, I'm so in love with the Standard I received that I want to forget everything on the TH for now. Thanks everybody.

In reality it is a case you use when you don't want to protect your Guitar.

Wrap it in plastic, put it in a storage area...........& get a better case.

    My 2c FWIW.

Are you talking about Gibson CS cases in general or the one corresponding to the picture on post #1?

    Gibson Custom Shop Cases.

Buy an SKB or a Hiscox or if you want a good case that looks pretty, Cedar Creek (who are actually owned by TKL).

The only good Gibson Custom Shop Cases were the older Black TKL’s IMHO.

I use Hiscox & SKB which are far stronger Cases.

The Brown Reissue Lifton is a joke.

Good to know. I admit I didn't pay attention to the case of my brand new guitar yet! :p

You're making the right move by not paying much attention to it.

You can't play the case!

Just wondered if there was some difference between a True H and a Standard H case. According to you they are both cr** :D :cheers2:

If you can turn a cigar box into a musical instrument, I bet you can do something with the case ...
    Something useful like this:

Or maybe those cases are not even strong enough to hold CDs? :D

Dude that's pretty cool! And thankfully I am not the only one left on earth that still listens to CD's!

Yes that is totally correct........they are all crap. :run:

The SKB & Hiscox travels well on a flight, you can’t do that with a crap Lifton unless you want a damaged Guitar.

Latches on the SKB are arguably less prone to damage.

Did I mention how solid the Latches are on the Lifton Reissue? :laugh2:
