I didn't see a thread about this yet but daaaaaaaaaaaang! I love everything about this guitar and it is quite affordable.

Gibson is doing a great job of prying open my wallet.

You know, I was ALMOST moving on from this and then you post a new photo of it and it starts all over again... I am beginning to think this forum is a bad influence.

For some reason the specs are all garbled up on my iPhone when I look at the webpage. What is the neck profile? 50’s please! And also please make it in Pelham blue too, Gibson if you’re listening.

Local Sam Ash had one hanging on the wall. Wanted to play it but was afraid I’d end up buying it.

Man that is one sweet looking SG!!!

I've always wanted a SG with P90s. Does anyone know what pickups the middle position activates? Is it just the middle pickup or some combination of pickups?

I've had a 3p'up SG before, and IIRC, the switch is the same as usual: bridge/both/neck, and the middle pickup is always on unless you turn the knob down. (3vol/1tone knobs)

Thanks for the reply truckermde. How exactly does that work? I mean where you say... "the middle pickup is always on unless you turn the knob down". Which knob? Because I was looking at the specs online trying to get the answer and I noticed the controls are the same as any other SG...2 volume, 2 tone.

I think this one is set up with a master tone and 3 volumes. That is how I rewired my SG custom and that is definitely the easiest use of the middle pickup. I think the 3 p90's would be out of this world cool sounding.

The bridge/neck p'up vol knobs are the same as usual, but only one of the tone knobs is a tone knob. The other one is the vol for the middle p'up. I can't remember which knob is which, though, if that matters, just that it's one of the two tone knobs.

When I had mine, I ended up taking the middle p'up out of the wiring altogether, and returned the controls to the standard configuration of an LP or SG with two p'ups. I usually just use the bridge p'up anyway...
