Funniest guitar misconception you've heard?

    You take a Tele to a gig you best pack your A game too, unforgiving beast it is.

    A big chunk o wood with a neck bolted on, that's a manly guitar right there, the only thing it's missing is a beard.

    My Tele is so manly that I have to do an oil change on it every 3000 miles.

    That guitars don't go out of tune, haha! Also, I knew someone who played violin, and she couldn't figure out what the frets were for; she thought that you had to place your fingers in some exact spot to get the right note, like on the violin. :laugh2:

    When I was new I thought open coil humbuckers are 2 seperate single coils
    "Hey look at that guitar, it has 5 pickups, I bet it must be loud as hell" :laugh2:

    Playing a more expensive guitar means you must be a better guitarist than someone who plays a cheaper guitar

    When I started playing, I thought you had to finger the frets, not the space between the frets...

    Telecasters are for Country

    Les Pauls are heavy

    and I think my favorite

    Rhythm players can't play leads and Lead players can't play a rhythm..
