The wood: - Brazilian rosewood fretboard tobacco colored - Body and Neck Honduran Mahogany old growth air-dryed - Top is old growth eastern maple, flitch matched from "Hades Roasted" in Canada. - Holly veneer on headstock face - One piece body, one piece quarter sawn neck (with ears), maple filet, correct routes, all joints such as fingerboard to neck, neck to body, maple filet ears to headstock all glued on with hot hide glue. The truss rod is correct '59 spec. cold rolled steel. - Neck thickness: .88 at 1st fret - .97" at 11th fret. Profile is similar to the most comfortable '59 I've played, feels like most players want them to feel. Not too thick, not too thin, not too flat, not too round....perfect. Finish: Aniline dye colors on top and in the oil based pore filler, sprayed with nitro-cellulose lacquer, than cold weather checked. It has faded to a very unique burst color due to the natural color of the maple. Genuine cold weather checking which show in some of these photos. It has faded naturally by sunlight.
