Mid-April! Now the question is – do I sell my first gen or not? Just kidding, I don't think I'll need, or even feel the need, to do so.

I have no plan to either. Perhaps further on up the road when more of their incremental improvements have been realized it will be worth looking into, but a simple volume pot adjustment is hardly worth the effort. Besides, I've kinda gotten used to nudging it with a micrometer... :laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:

If its true that the only thing they changed is some added attenuation for the volume pot then it seems like a waste of an upgrade. There were quite a few suggestions listed in this thread months ago, many of which would have been easy to implement (like adding a 2Ω impedance option for many Fender amps, headphone jack in front and 180° phase shifter for the second output). They might have fixed some internal problems like the ones many of us here experienced early on, but I think if you're gonna do an upgrade, you probably want to make it count!

    Externally discernable upgrades...

    -balanced line out
-uprated 200W input handling (from 150W before)
    -sensitivity switch
-4Ω impedence switches on the back now says 2/4
    -low pass filter

No word yet from them on any internal changes...

I went to fryette.com to see if there was any info on the release of version 2. It says the site is down for maintenance and will be back up on Friday, October 2????

I went to the site just now with no issues...there's a preorder page up for the PS2 and it's projected for a June release.

Yes, I must have hit them when they were updating the site. The odd date is what was strange. It was working the next day.

I'll tell ya what I would do if I was needing a PS. I would organize a group buy here in the forum. This place has more then enough power to make Fryette give us a great deal. Someone, not going to be me, should do the work and arrange it.

Now if you were talking about an AXE FX.. I would be all over arranging it.
