Great review man, thanks for posting.
PS. My eyes hurt.
I have seen a couple RAC 10 out there. I just cant justify buying one @$400 when I am not gigging and can easily just change stuff in AXE EDIT or on the front panel which really isn't that bad to learn
Yea, I saw one used that sold at $400. For home/studio, your right. NOW, if it was $150, well then.....
Axe Edit is just fine
Exactly. That was how I saw it. Just another one of those things sitting here that I would never extract full use out of.
This is the reason I sold my Line6 Relay 90 wireless system. I got it for the cool factor but never really saw the need to have it playing here in my 10X12 office.
Great write up!
Great write-up! I am not sure I could live without knobs. For those Fractal owners who are not fortunate enough to have an AX8, at least you have add-on options to fix that!! Because I work in IT, I like to play with my computer off when I come home, as I think it just takes away my attention to playing some. Not when I am building a preset, of course.
If you are to make a review of something,
at least do an extensive one...
Great post cybermgk lots of useful info! Thanks.
Excellent! Thank you.
Thanks for this post Cyber
i have so many doubts before jumping the fence completely (from tubes to a pro level modeling unit)..
and then i'm torn between the KPA and the Axe FX..
your post is a great help btw
First novel i've read in a while Thanks for the write up, much appreciated
I'll need to read this whole thing but holy ****. Wow
Nice review on both units, but you seem bias to the kemper imo.
Nico, that's because he has both. Bias is completely warranted with personal experience.
Besides, I don't feel he painted the AXE in a negative light at all.I want one, but it'll be a while before that happens...
Great write up Cyber. Many thanks.
Has anyone heard if Kemper is planing on putting out an editor at some point?
CK says yes, at some point. The some point hasn't been clarified. Newest updates though are redoing USB interface in some ways, so who knows. That could be a precursor.
Thanks for the great write up.
So since our ill-fated thread that was shut down, I have made it a commitment to learn more about modeling. The epic write up by cyber was a great read. Thanks for taking the time cyber!
p.s. I was replying to the ill fated thread that was shut down by finding it in the "new posts" feed, and I didn't realize that it was posted in a specific modeling forum...ok, my fault, I didn't even realize that there was a modeling forum..so I was a bit confused why there was such a kerfuffle about the "t" word and it being verboten!..but now I kind of get it ...sorry! carry on!
nice reviews thanx. Has anyone reviewed a few modelers and actually just only kept 1 they liked the best?
