I am already looking at the FGN ELAN :run:

Speaking of which, can you recommend any PRS like or superstrat guitars? Preferably made by FGN but doesn't have to be under their own brand name :D

    Thanks,
yeah I love my Japan Girls

The Expert Elan seems to be discontinued, at least here in Germany

The Expert Odyssey should match the 'Supert-Strat' type

The Ibanez Top line is made at FujiGen, though they have to follow the 'Ibanez rules' and not their own....

I need more japanese girls too :naughty:

The expert ELAN seems to be up on both the FGN websites so hopefully its not discontinued in Japan. I meant something like the ESP horizon shape. Not a fan of strats in and of themselves.

Paruwi, you have such an amazing collection of FGN guitars.

I'd love to be able to play a lot of those models in person.

    I guess unless I travel to Europe, I won't have a chance.

I can still admire them from afar. :D

    HA!!!

I guess I know what you mean.

Lots of guitars over here you'd like to try in person.

Man, the Japanese get all the cool guitars! Meanwhile we're stuck with Gibson offering basically the same sparse lineup for the past 30 years, now with robotuners and brass nuts.

I know. I was thinking about getting the Oliver Hartmann model when I was getting my LC20. The OH model does look really cool.

But I think that flamed maple is only a veneer (on a plain maple cap, but still) on the LS20's, which is a bit disappointing for a guitar of such a price. And there's no ebony fretboard, so that put me off a bit. I'm also not a particularly big fan of the whole lotta humbuckers set. They're good pickups, but I'm predominantly a metal guy. And pickups like those would require re-EQing the amp to make it sound the way I like it. A2 pickups tend to get muddy with lots of gain. JB/59's in the LC20's are way better for what I'm going for.

Why aren't ebony fretboards on LP standard-styled guitars more common? Seems like something a lot of people would want. If it raised the price of the guitar, I wouldn't care. It's worth every penny. :dunno:

I guess the comparable MiJ guitars like Edwards and Tokai do it this way too :hmm:

Not in the used market. Which is really the way to go when looking at getting Tokias and Eddys.
