    Hi guys,

    Hopefully you can help

I have developed a hum from my Burny les paul, there is a hum/hiss in the background of the amp

Ive changed leads and still get it, the issue stops when i touch anything metal on the guitar so think its a ground issue

My cavity for the wiring dosent have any shielding

I recently installed a new selector switch which has all been fine and the cavitys closed, randomly the hum developed a week or so back

Ive checked all the solder and everything's wired up there is nothing loose?

    Thanks

Have you ruled out all external interference such as your computer, TV, etc?

Don't have your cell phone near the amp either...

Ok found the issue, would you believe it... i have push pull pots but no coil splitting for the pickups, just had the push/pull the volume knob on the bridge and all was fine! thanks for your input

    Glad it was something simple.
