This is a fake right?
look at how they did the serial#
Early 70s Gibson Les Paul Guitar Project
You are joking!
Never saw a guitar like that.
Seriously,is it real?
As the saying goes, I don't know what it is. Only what it is not.
Neck looks Gibson...the body? No.
I may be wrong, but first instinct tells me that's some kind of SG neck, logo looks right, SN seems whack and neck construction is hard to determine via the pictures. Body is not right.
That is one bizarre hybrid.
Wow, what a mutant.
Looks like the bridge posts are adjustable with a screw driver as per cheapo/import hardware. Also, back cavity route is a bit weird as well as the neck having a crown inlay on the headstock.
I thought that maybe it could be a 'The Paul' or a Firebrand model but the routing for the controls are off for those models. IIRC they were 2 piece or 1 piece walnut too. The neck could be legit (possibly an SG neck as somebody mentioned. would make sense for having a crown inlay then), but even still, this guitar is a mutt and without full disclosure I would stay far away.
An obvious attempt to deceive.
And not alive.
Its 3 piece so Its almost a slash signature
I think the neck is a mid 70s SG.
Looks like a recent gibson SG neck on a non gibson body. Someone with some woodworking experience probably was like LETS TRY THIS
I say burn it and put that horror to rest!
These should all be burned!!
I love it when people are even honest about what it is, and are still trying to sell it. "Here is a great illegal/counterfeit guitar, want it?!"
I sometimes wonder if anyone has ever been told/convinced their guitar was a Chibson and sold it as such, only to find out afterwards that it truly was an authentic Gibson from the start.
Been seeing a lot of obvious Chibsons on Facebook marketplace lately too.
Right, but they lose me when "GIBSON" is put on the headstock.
