When you say "out now" do you mean announced? The Explorer is still not actually available.

    You've not heard!?!
    This RD Custom.

I understand it's really hard selling guitars to younger people in this day and age and Gibson/Epiphone can't keep using the same ol' classic rock artist to promote their guitars. But seriously, it's been like barely two years now and this guy has three signature guitars. I'm feeling like they (Epi) are taking away a bit of what was special about the initial "Artisan" design at this point, as well. And don't get me started with the gig bag in lieu of a case for a signature "limited edition" guitar.

Okay, there's my rant for the day. Not bad considering I was also going to point out how lame and generic this kid's band sounds, but I thought I'd be nice and just not mention it at all.

Yes, I've heard about the RD Custom. My point is this guitar and the previously announced Explorer are not actually available. The Explorer was supposedly going to ship in July, but it's still only available to "Pre-Order".

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. Epiphone does this quite a bit. We should all just expect this type of thing by now. Another is the Johnny A. guitar. Took a while from it's announced release date to the actual release date. Maybe they just like to build up the anticipation or maybe it just takes a lot longer for all those layers of veneer to dry?

I would settle just to get my hands on one of those custom Gibson bridge humbuckers. I heard they are amazing.

I'm so glad I don't have "problems" like these!
My current #1 has a signature of an artist on the back of the headstock. What great guitar I would be missing...
