    Hey all,

Ive got a sweet Epi Elite Les Paul and am planning to convert it to a 50's wiring. I don't like all the treble loss on the volume controls and want to try the 50's approach. I see lots of charts out there for converting gibsons, but my elite seems to be wired quite differently.

Is there an easy way to do the mod without rewiring the guitar completely?

    Here's Seymour Duncan's diagram:

Personally I would go with a pre-wired 50's wiring harness from one of the vendors here.
Jonesy, Mssc, etc. Good pots and caps are also part of it.
I would also replace the switch an switch wiring.

I see it as an investment in tone.
And you can always take it out of the Epiphone if ever you sell it
and put it in a Gibson.

Are you not the original owner or did you change wiring previously? These guitars are wired 50's from the factory.
