Hi folks, I am a newbie as you can see but been playing guitars for 25 years now. I want to replace my jack plate on my l.p. custom with a metal one. I can't get a straight answer on what brands will fit. EBay sellers have no clue either. I searched the forum and am still not sure what fits without drilling holes in my new guitar. What brand do you guys use that is a direct fit if any? Thanks a bunch.

Some do have the measurement of 25.4 mm listed for the hole width but epiphones are 25mm so it's been tough to find one for my lpc

it must be relatively "new" item..
When i was looking back then, There were quite a few threads/posts at other forums with people looking for metal jack plates with the correct screw spacing for Epi's/imports and they weren't around.(There were metal plates but the screw holes were off by just a touch..Line up 2 of em,But the then the others were off)

I ended up crudely making one by hand out of a piece of aluminum for my Agile AL3000.

This was a couple/few yrs ago, But i ordered a Tele style bridge from EY and it took about 5 days from them to me in NY. I paid the "standard/regular" shipping rates back then.
Around the same time i ordered something from GFS which is in Mass two states away, Paid the same in shipping(Think it was around $7-8) and it took 8 days...:dunno:

Why the change? Is it for cosmetic purposes only or something else?

metal jack plates look great, but if you do accidentally hit the jack on something it could tear the screws out. Plastic ones just break in half

guess how I know, yep' done it
