Hey guys...been away for awhile but still playing my Epi's...mostly my 56 Les Paul ebony p-90.
Lately I've been gassing for a 12 string and was contemplating a Danelectro 59 12 string but I'm thinking towards an Epiphone G-1275 doubleneck SG. Problem is I have to order it from Musiciansfriend and I'm concerned about shipping a 12 string doubleneck and it getting damaged. Do you guys think its relatively safe to get a double neck shipped?

My guess would be that it's not any more risky than any other guitar.
    The weight maybe?
If it's shipped in the original box, it should be all right.

Have you tried one before for neck profile, feel and weight?

Hey Bobby..another Torontonian...hahahaha. I havent tried one but from reviews it looks good. I like heavy guitars and I prefer a thick neck profile but slim taper works too. Yeah hopefully they put some padding in the box. I heard a trick is to buy something cheap and they double box it with padding. I'm probably pulling the trigger later tonight. I have serious gas for these now....lol.

There was a bit of a fuss some years ago by a member who bought one, took the
pickups out and found the body to be laminated.
I've never heard much more on that subject at all
and Alex Lifeson fans like it alot.
It's way more guitar than I could manage but cool looker

The ones I have seen have been plywood. Or " from the Asian laminate tree". Yeah they look cool, but I like feeling in my foot when I play.

Are these still plywood? Or was it only the Korean ones? I guess I'll find out soon enough because I pulled the trigger on one. I'll let you guys know when I get it.
