Excellent! I never thought when I first mentioned that the original ones were not working you would be so generous to take the time to assure we all had a chance to get them. Thank you so much for that.. It's just a reminder of the very talented, generous, and friendly group of people that comprise this site, and forum.. I feel honored to have the opportunity to be a part of it all...
Great idea!! Don't forget about Rockdog's great clean build threads.
Thanks for doing this by the way!
Perhaps you could break them up into Parts 1, 2, and even 3 if they are that big.
First of all, thank you voices, for converting and posting these builds.
It appears drop box is too small of a file sharing server system.
I did successfully download a few before links were disabled for
It would be a fair amount of work uploading files to a larger file sharing server, but you may want to consider this if reposting these builds at a later date.
Sorry, no download possible at the moment - too much traffic
so then i got this in the mail today:
"This email is an automated notification from Dropbox that your Public links have been temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic. Your Dropbox will continue to function normally with the exception of Public links.
This suspension is temporary.
Please visit Dropbox support if you have any questions.
- The Dropbox Team "
sorry guys. i really tried.
Thanks for the effort Ron.
Proves the adage "No good deed goes unpunished"
I recall that someone mentioned Google Drive - this could be a viable option to host these files. In case you do not already know, if you have a free Gmail account, then you can upload up to 5 gigs worth of data (can be one 5 gig file or many files totaling 5 gigs). The maximum size for a single file is actually 10 gigs, although you would have to have a paid account to utilize the 10 gig limit. At any rate, if I remember correctly, the thread pdfs are ~300-400 MG, no? If that is the case, one could host ~11-13 of the files. I am not 100% certain, but I do not believe that Google imposes the "traffic" limitation that Dropbox does. Even if they did, if several of us each offered to host a portion of the files then the traffic would be spread out over several accounts. If Ron was up for it, I would be willing to host some of the files.
I was able to get them all downloaded last night. At first I tried downloading multiple at once but it stopped at 4. Then I did one at a time and it worked fine.. Apparently that won't help now if they temporarily suspended your account. Thanks again for your effort..
ive uploaded the files on this one last night as well and it seems to work:
FileSwap.com : FileSwap.com: BUILD THREADS IN PDF
still need to figure out where to put the Preeb and other larger files. ill keep ya's posted and thanks for all your help & patience!
I sent you a pm, something else I thought of last night was if make a Hotmail account you either 5 or 7 gig of space for your cloud drive. You can share them from there I don't know if there is a limitation on individual file sizes. They call it the sky drive and you can get apps for android to maintain them.
I know I'm a bit late to the party, but...
Does anyone still have these files?
Ditto, are these still available?
As a thought ... I'd suggest a peer-to-peer like bittorrent. As long as the files are int he wild and connected, they're available.
