Some of you might have seen my post about saving the Bartlett build in to a PDF. I've done this for a few threads on this forum and a couple others.

I have some available for download for anyone who wants to save a copy for themselves for future reference. I will upload more as time permits.

find them here:Thread Builds saved in PDF - Minus

was also thinking which threads would make good inclusions for the archive.

    What say you?

Barnaby's and Scatter Lee's threads is a must. Also, any of the how two threads that are at the top of this forum. I did not know you could save the entire thread as a pdf.

    Exnihilo and Barnaby of course.
Flying Pig, Nocturnal, Damian Probett, Fletch, TKO's custom build.
All awesome LP builds that are great references.

I have Fletch's and ExNihilo's going up right now.

I just noticed the place I am saving these files to only allows a small amount of space. Suggestions?

What I am doing is saving each page as a pdf, then converting those to a complete archive with Acrobat. Kinda like a pdf merge.

I used to be a part of the E30Zone forum (car forum) and obviously there is also gonna be a lot of really, really good posts full of accurate information.

What they did was create a wiki to tag along, which worked well for long serving members, but not so for the newer members (who weren't accustomed to it).

So what they did was create an archived area for each of the major categories and archive perminant threads there. These threads also had all the unimportant information removed, only leaving the OP's posts and answered (useful) questions. It made a great way to browse completed projects and gander over juicy information...

They also had mods who could post new threads there, if they thought something was missing, and would happily write new articals to post.

    Hey there!

I don't know about other people who do build threads, but I write things up before I post. Therefore, I have my basic threads saved as .docx files with hyperlinks to the pictures. They contain just the information I put up originally rather than all of the conversation, suggestions, encouragement and other things that make the threads worthwhile for me. Still, potential future readers are probably not as interested in the cross talk as I am.

Maybe other builders do this too - it might be worth contacting them and could save you a lot of time and space.

Voices: Thanks for putting these together.. nice to have for reference.

I can get these PDFs down in size if that will help? I just did the Damian Probett PDF from 50Mb to 15Mb. No loss in quality. Let me know if file size is becoming an issue.
