How hard is it to find the Edwards Oxblood LPs?
    Are they still in production?
I see them from time to time on Digimart but haven't figured out how to determine if the seller will ship.
Any reason not to buy one when I find it?

I can't see a reason you wouldn't buy one. They are good guitars, most of the guys here who have them really like'm.

MLP member Dangerdog...aka ebay's meestursparkle, may be able to help you out with buying from digimart. I can't remember his website though.

You won't find what you're looking for on that site because it's selling cheap fakes made in China.

    Copied from here: About Pickups

It is worth mentioning that the pickups we select are Wilkinson pickups. We have to admit that Wilkinson pickups are not as good as the original pickups. But they are more attractive in quality and price, saving much money for our customers. Most of our customers reflected the pickups are beyond their imagination, stable and reliable enough!

Of course! If you insist on the original pickups, and we can find them on the market, and can afford it. We are pleasant to install the original pickups for your guitars. But the price will be much higher than guitars with Willinson pickups. Be prepared!!!

    SOUNDS LEGIT TO ME!

It's only the matter of a year or two that CHina starts making great Les Pauls like they have done with acoustics and classical instruments. But I don't think that time has arrived. 450.00? You can find Grecos or some such for that price, even Edwards. These might be a great value if you plan on keeping it forever. However, the resale will no be where other Japanese guitars will be.

    I'd guess $800-$1000?

Ok. I bought it for 500 bucks plus shipping.
I'll post a review when I get it.

Got the guitar today. It's actually cleaner than I thought. Lighter than my DGT. The color is more purple than burgundy/brown. Still looks fine. I'll plug it in tonight. So far I'd say it's a winner.

Ok so after plugging it in, I'm impressed. The 59 neck pup is very good. I'm pleasantly surprised.
The JB bridge is not to my liking as I expected. Luckily the Vineham Whiskey Burner came today also. Still needs a setup but it's very good.
I have metric steel studs sitting in a drawer so I will add those when I change the pup.
    Great guitar!

I am very happy with it.
    Edwards is pretty under rated.

Glad to hear you like it! Turns out they actually made these in plain old black, too. I tried this one (https://tymguitars.com.au/products/edwardse-lp542008) at Tym's in Brisbane, and man I loved the way it played - the neck was perfect, a little on the chubbier side how I like it, and the pickups were fantastic. Only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger is the wraparound. Do you know the size of the studs? I've been considering getting it and swapping it for a pigtail or other adjustable wraparound.

In the meantime, I've got this beauty coming in the mail: http://en.rockin.co.jp/shop/archives/48227.html So we'll see how I feel after playing this one.

EDIT: Do you know if it's poly, lacquer taste, or all lacquer? I doubt it'd be all lacquer, but I have a feeling it might be a lacquer taste model (where they spray the last top coats as nitro lacquer).

I think the wraptail is part of the magic. The studs are M8.
I think it would be cool in black. The paint feels slick, not sticky. However I don't know if it is a LTS model or not.
Faber and others make compensated wraptails.

Your guitar looks great! Do you notice a big difference in feel with the wraparound?

I was just eyeballing the Burny R4 in the classifieds, very similar to yours.
