I have other guitars I use for utility and want my Eddie 130 Custom to stay pristine
for reasons I wouldnt bore you with. What do you fastidious freaks like me, use to
keep them shiny? That Gibson Luthier kit gets high marks from most people, but
the Eddie has that hybrid nitro/poly finishes. I want to keep the swirls out of the black.
    Recommendations?

Ding the finish in an inconspicuous area. Then you'll quickly stop caring that the guitar isn't 100% mint and you can proceed to play it like a normal person.

Finish imperfections are inevitable no matter how well you take care of a guitar.

If you get lots of surface swirl scratches, you can buff them out with buffing compound.

If I were you I would go with one of the Meguiar's silicone free polish products.
You could also try Martin's Professional Guitar Polish/Cleaner Kit if you're worried about the nitro as I'm not sure what this poly/nitro mix is you speak of.
Is that nitro over poly (or vice versa) ?
As always, try it on the back first or some spot you'd rarely see.

Take care of it the way you would any lacquer finished guitar.
