For anyone who has not followed THIS thread, Magnus Melkersson and Bartlett Woodworking are now producing fully carved eastern figured maple tops for sale to the public. Each top includes a certificate of authenticity, and are accurate down to the finest detail.
These tops are each truly one of a kind and no detail has been overlooked.
These are historically accurate in every way - profile, contour, thickness, and even the regions the maple is harvested is the same as used by Gibson in the late 50's. Careful kiln drying and hide glued center seam finish off the details of a perfect top.

The link is the picture in my signature, or HERE if you prefer. Prices are listed on the web site and depend on your location, and grade of top.

Do you mean .5 inches? yes, or close to it anyway.

Gold tops and plain tops are now available either immediately, or for pre-order!
Also, as a special bonus, all tops ship with a free nylon 6/6 nut blank, just like what Gibson used in the 50's!
Nylon is limited, so is only available for a short time.

The angle of the pickup plane in relation to the back of the guitar is 1.21*
    The neck angle is 4.40*

? is how do you glue without a vacum press ? otherwise it will warp .

Why would it warp? The only time I've ever experienced warping when gluing wood is on veneer, and in that case a simple wipe down with a damp cloth on the face side equalizes the expansion, and eliminates any possible warping.
These tops are not veneer, and as such do not require that precaution.

The website is now fully updated with custom top carving options, and the duplicarver dummy is now officially available for order. Thanks to everyone for your patience while we worked out the bugs in the production process!
