This already exists I believe. It's called the 2061X.
Yeah a JCM 800 with an SD1 smacking the front is more my thing, but I'm not making it up I swear, Just google JCM900 and there are alot of people that like em out there. lol I am sure Marshall did a little research before they did the reissue.
But I digress, please resume the topic at hand.
I meant in the same price range as the DSL series.
Hey guys, apparently this is fake news/marketing gimmick by Andertons.
And in case no one has noticed, the prices have not gone up or down (aside from the Andertons promotion and maybe some others trying to follow suit) and there have been no shortages in inventory from any of the major outlets that I've seen...
Good to know! Not too long ago Andertons also had another video where they said PRS is discontinuing the Made In Indonesia PRS SE Standard line, but I have yet to find any other evidence that this is true.
Honestly check out the andertons video of "choosing a guitar under 500"
Chappers picks a Chapman......it doesnt go down well in the comments.....
Then he made a video on his channel defending his decision.....
I'm guessing Andertons jumped the gun.
Nice to know my dsl40c is legendary
So this turns out to be true after all!
The new DSL lineup are:
DSL1HR & DSL1CR
DSL20HR & DSL20CR
(You can google them and they might show up on Thomann's website unless it's been taken down)
The R stands for Recording, as each amp will have a recording output. I'm not sure if it's USB or line/mic out. I hope it is line/mic so that the amp can be mic'ed up without a mic.
The 40C should have minimal changes except for Recording out.
I think the 1W and 20W models will be hot!
I was gonna head over tomorrow to pick up a DSL40C from GC. So happy to see there don't appear to be any significant changes with the DSL40CR (unless I'm missing something). Looks like I'll get a great price!
Any reason not to buy the floor model at a discount? I played it and it sounds great and looks mint. I think I'll get 10-15% off and the speaker will hopefully be a bit broken in already. Or should I just spend a few more dollars for a fresh new untouched amp?
There are two additional knobs on the new DSL40CR, I can't make out what they are; some say it is a second master volume for each channel with foot-switchable boost.
I see there's a used one at the Pasadena GC going for $500, probably a good buy if that's the one you checked out.
